The long summer break has flown by, and now it’s time to bring back the laughter in the classrooms, the friendly chatter in the corridors, and the spirit of learning that makes Genesis School so special. We are excited to welcome all our pupils, parents, and staff to the first term of the 2025/2026 academic session, officially resuming on Monday, 15th September, 2025.
This new academic year promises to be filled with exciting opportunities, fresh challenges, and even more reasons for our pupils to thrive—both academically and personally.
A Fresh Start, A Bright Future
Every new school year is a fresh chapter, and we believe it’s going to be a memorable one. Our dedicated teachers are ready to inspire, challenge, and guide pupils to achieve their very best. This year, we’re introducing new initiatives and clubs to help pupils explore their talents beyond the classroom.
We’re not just returning to school; we’re stepping into a year of growth, creativity, and excellence.
Important Resumption Details for Parents and Guardians
To help everyone settle in smoothly, here’s a quick guide to important updates and reminders for the term:
- School Hours
Preparatory Classes: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
Grades 1–6: 7:30 am – 1:45 pm
Additional Support: 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm
Parents are kindly reminded to pick up their ward(s) on time. A late pick-up fine of ₦5,000 applies from 4:00 pm, as discussed in the last PTF meeting. - Dress Code
We take pride in our smart, neat uniforms. Please ensure pupils follow the dress code:
Monday & Wednesday: School uniform, black shoes, white socks (long white socks for girls).
Tuesday: Sportswear, white canvas, white socks.
Thursday (Club Day): Club outfit (ballet, taekwondo, boyscout, etc.) or school uniform with black shoes and white socks.
Friday: Customized school T-shirt with black or blue jeans (no leggings or distressed jeans).
Note:
No beads in girls’ hair (for safety reasons).
Replace undersized uniforms.
Hairstyles like dreadlocks, high punk, or extreme cuts are not allowed.
- Textbooks
Please ensure all required textbooks are ready before resumption. The school’s recommended textbooks are available for purchase at the school.
Exciting New Clubs
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Football and Chess Clubs starting this term! These clubs are designed to nurture our pupils’ talents and skills in sports and strategic thinking. Interested parents should contact the school for details.
Summer School Success
Before the new term begins, we can’t help but smile thinking back to this year’s summer school. Pupils enjoyed an exciting, educational, and fun-filled program from 4th to 28th August, proving that learning can be just as enjoyable during the holidays.
